My last paper is on the 9th of May. Holy Cucumber, that’s 11 days to go! It’s even longer than my study week which is 7 days.
Claymore DVD is no joke, the originals are outright expensive. Trust me, you’ll burn a hole in your pocket if you’re a collector of originals. To make your penny worth, not only the specials and the quality of the disc matters, the packaging adds to it’s value. Imagine seeing a picture of Raki crying on every DVD casing. That would make the “coolness meter” drop 2 notches and turn buyers away. Keeping this “cool” criteria in mind, I’ll be presenting the below few awards to those that stand out more than the others.
I’m glad to present 5 awards to some of the covers, they are:
- “The Hottest” award
- “The Swan” award
- “The Sexiest” award
- “The Rock” award
- “The WTF” award
“The Hottest” would go to Claymore Chapter 4 with Miria as model. The rain and the foreboding background all the more make Miria and her shiny equipment stand out. Not to forget, the rain is an important factor that adds to her “hotness” too.
“The Swan” would go to Claymore Chapter 6 for it’s graceful portrayal of Galatea where her grace and elegance is reinforced by the “serene-looking” backdrop.
“The Rock” definitely goes to Claymore Chapter 7. With such manly pose and bulging muscles, I almost mistook Jean for Undine. In such hazardous blizzard environment, only the toughest like The Rock can survive.
“The Sexiest” would go to Claymore Chapter 8. Metrosexual Isely wins hands down when it comes to the sexiest category. Adopting a sexy, instead of a sissy pose, he’s at his best when the moon is up. LOL!
“The WTF” award would go to Claymore Chapter 9 below. We all know that the final scene for the anime takes place in a volcano but it took me some time to figure that Priscilla (below) was actually in the volcano. Worse, Priscilla is actually surrounded by lava that I mistaken to be fireflies. The stark colors are actually catchy and bright but such style is more suitable for magic or fairytale-like settings instead. It’s just not Claymore enough.
And the others that regrettably didn’t win anything.

That’s about it, I ran out of awards for the above 4 DVDs (Chapters 1, 2, 3 & 5). If you could, what would you award them and which are your favorites? My favorites are definitely chapter 4 and 6, the ones featuring Miria and Galatea.
Is it only me or does Priscilla’s private part seem particularly well delineated in the chapter 9 cover? -__________- It just seems to stand out…
Any cover with Clare on it deserves some award, it you ask me. XD
i thought the one in chapter 2 was sexy… from a guy’s point of view… If there was a hot babe in that attire in the streets, i think my eyes would fly. However, if it was Eisley in that attire, i probably would just ignore him.
Galatea and Teresa are probably the reasons why I had watched Claymore. lol
I felt that the best is the one on Priss and Galatea. The last DVD cover just stands out from all the rest, and it has that little physiologic touch to it that defines Priscilla so well. Out of all the covers here, I liked this one the best.
Gatatea is, well, just being herself as usual. God forbids that Little Miss Claymore ever appears anywhere with a single hair out of place and without looking downright radiant.

I personally liked Clare in her timeskip outfit, though I agree about Isley being the sexiest.
